Ellen E. Schultz is an investigative reporter for The Wall Street Journal who has covered the so-called retirement crisis for more than a decade. Her reporting has led to Congressional hearings, proposed legislation, and investigations by the Treasury and the GAO.
Schultz has won dozens of journalism awards for economics, financial, and investigative reporting, including three Polk Awards, two Loeb awards, and a National Press Club award. In 2003, Schultz was part of a team of Wall Street Journal reports awarded the Pulitzer Prize, for articles on corporate scandals. She lives in New York City.

Once again we count on the government to protect us against these things and once again the government disappoints.
Now the question is whether Ms. Schultz’ bringing it out into the open will result in a cure or a cover up.
I worked for a company for 37 yrs, when it got close for many employees to retire the company sold out.The first thing they did was change our pension plan. We had a defined Benifit plan, they changed the plan to cash balance. We all lost about 40 to 60 percent right off the bat. We fought it going to the supreme court, and got hammered. So much for the government looking out for us, they are the ones that allow companies to get away with all this type of crap.

It suggests that we as individuals we email this link to at least 20 other people and within a week or two we should have enough of a 2/3 popular vote to enact the “Congressional Reformation Act of 2011″ into law as an Amendment to the Constitution. If we make up 99% of The People getting screwed, this will change that to our advantage.

This robbery has been going on for friggen years. It is robbery flat OUT and until we( Americans that aren’t bought off)start demanding the assholes we pay HUGE money & give lavish retirement to after only 5 years of service-CONGRESS -that would be left and right- they along with wall-street Koch Bros and all 1% will continue to steal EVERYTHING. We need to put people in Supreme Court that RULE for the people and by the people..NOT CORPORATIONS. Anyone who is lucky enough to get retirement should not budge on these deals.Its very sad to read about all these people being screwed by the people who we have been trained to trust.
Retirees need representatives to speak on their behalf to change the tide.

The Law that allowed Corporations to gain access to Defined Benefit Pension plans for “profit” occurred right after Ronald Reagan became President in 1981 with the help of Donald Regan, a Wall Street Banker.
